Adams County Jane Jefferson Club - Sept Update
We are often asked "How can I get more involved?" If you are registered as a Democrat in Adams County, you are automatically a member of the Adams County Democratic Party.  You are welcome to attend the monthly Executive Board meeting of the officers, captains and co-captains, and elected officials.
The Adams County Democrats has multiple social clubs for those who are looking for other ways to spend time with individuals who share thier values. These include the AdDems, AdFemDems, Latino Initiative, The Janes, and the Young Dems. For more information, click here.
Congratulations to all of our candidates and newly elected officials. Thank you to all of the volunteers and campaign workers who helped make the 2008 election a history-making event. We will all remember where we were on November 4, 2008. Please stay involved. Remember, "all politics is local."

Minutes of August Meeting - The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. at the Democratic Headquarters by President Julia Hicks. After the Pledge of Allegiance, the minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted. Lucille Vela gave the Treasurer's report, which was accepted. Cheryle Clarke of the Alternatives to Family Violence needs help at their fundraiser dinner at the Doubletree Hotel in Westminster on Friday, November 6. If you have items to auction, or can help with sending invitations or setting up, please call Cheryle at 303-428-9611. Â In October, all Janes bring your copies of the By-laws so we can finish approving them. A motion was made by Jean Fredlund to appoint a nominating committee to suggest persons for officers. Motion was seconded and passed. The time of the election will be according to the By-laws as amended in October. Carol Peterson was appointed Chair of the nominating committee.
