    We are often asked "How can I get more involved?" If you are registered as a Democrat in Adams County, you are automatically a member of the Adams County Democratic Party.   You are welcome to attend the monthly Executive Board meeting of the officers, captains and co-captains, and elected officials.

    Congratulations to all of our candidates and newly elected officials.  Thank you to all of the volunteers and campaign workers who helped make the 2008 election a history-making event.  We will all remember where we were on November 4, 2008.  Please stay involved.  Remember, "all politics is local."

Marty Wisniewski - Chair

Marty Wisniewski is married to his wife Linda for 31 years and has 2 sons, Justin and Mat, and daughter, Beth.  Marty works at the US Postal Service in the Vehicle Maintenance Division.

Sharon Richardson - 2nd Vice Chair
Sharon Richardson is excited to serve as 2nd vice chair and committed to working hard to support our chairman and our core democratic values.  Sharon and Tom married in December of 1960. She has resided here since 1973 while raising Christina and Teresa.  She has been an active Democrat most of her life and worked on a number of campaigns.

Bev Bishop - Secretary
Bev Bishop  says serving as Secretary of the Adams County Democratic Party is fun, as well as challenging, because of all the interesting people and the variety of activities.  A former teacher and human resources professional, she is now retired, and also volunteers as a reader for Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Goodwill Industries’ School to Work Program, and the City of Westminster’s Parks, Recreation, and Library Board.

Megan Carter - Asst. Secretary
Megan Carter was born and raised in Adams County in a family of Democrats. Her love of
politics started at a young age when she would attend various events with her grand parents who were active Democrats. She served as a student election judge at 17 under a new program to involve younger people in the voting process. Throughout high school, she volunteered at University of Colorado Hospital in the Renal Transplant Department, totaling three years.

Joanie was raised in Portland, Oregon and, after attending Brigham Young University, she moved to Denver in 1972. She is married to Fred Schaefer (Adams 12 School Board Director) and has four children; Ryan Carlson, Blake Carlson, Lindsay Bailey and Meredith Schaefer.
